MIDDLESBORO — Moises Patrimonio Langub, M.D. passed into God's hands on June 1, 2014. He was born February 22, 1934, in Duenas, Iloilo, Philippines. He attended medical school in Manila Central University. He opened his medical practice in Banga, Philippines in 1960. He came to the United States in 1968, where he practiced family and emergency medicine in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky until his retirement in 2014.
He was married and divorced from Estrella Lopez Dino, is survived by their six children, M. Chris Langub Jr. Ph.D. of Marietta, GA; Ruth Jenkins (Victor) of Louisville, KY; Nelson Langub (Karen) of Marietta, GA; Rosalind Lusk (Michael) of Geneva, IL; Rosemay Palmer-Ball (Lawrence) of Louisville, KY; and David Langub of Smyrna, GA.
He married Kimberly Branscome of Middlesboro, KY and is survived by their three children, Joseph Langub M.D. of Gardena, CA; Nina Langub and Madeline Langub of Middlesboro, Ky.
He is preceded in death by his parents Esteban and Teofila Langub; three brothers, two sisters, and his infant daughter Messalina.
He is survived by his younger brothers, Pio Langub and Esteban Langub Jr. and his fifteen grandchildren; Lucas and Noah (M. Chris); Katie and Victor Jenkins (Ruth); Chelsea, Alexander, and Ava Grace (Nelson); Elena, Emily, Elizabeth, Emma, and James Lusk (Rosalind); Harrison, Rebecca and Samuel Palmer-Ball (Rosemay).
Fiercely independent, but ever grateful for the many blessings that came his way in a remarkable lifetime, he was passionate about access to educational opportunities and providing sustenance for his family.
He was fond of the saying, "Jesus, then Others, then You - what a wonderful way to spell 'joy' !"
Memorial service will be 6 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Middlesboro. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made to the
