PINEVILLE — William Bryant Roark, 81, of Pineville, KY passed away June 1, 2014 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.
He was born March 27, 1933 in Insull, KY, the son of the late Frank and Martha Slusher Roark.
He was veteran of the U.S. Army. He taught at Blackmont Elementary for 33 years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the following members of his family sisters, Hazel Monhollen, Seretta Clark, Rosa Catherine Bledsoe, Doshia Mink, Ruby Lee Saylor, brothers, Samuel Roark, James Roark, Frank Roark, Jr.
He is survived by the following members of his family:
Wife of 55 years: Wanda Roark of Pineville, KY
2 Daughters: Teresa Dye of Pineville, KY, Lisa Johnson of Pineville, KY
Grandchildren: Adrienna Dye, Spencer (Amber) Dye, Chelsea (Jonathan) Luke
1 Great granddaughter: Serenity Dye
And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family would like to greatfully acknowledge the love and care shown to them by Dr. Morgan and Pineville Community Hospital staff, the Staff at St. Joseph Lexington Main, Pineville Community Hospital Home Health and their Church Family.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the First Blackmont Baptist Church with Rev. David Howard presiding. Music will be provided by Selma Hodges.
Interment will follow in the Tackett Hill Cemetery in Blackmont, KY. Pallbearers will be Spencer Dye, Bruce Dye, Harold Dean Miracle Jr., Matthew Miracle, Rev. Thomas Heck, John Luke. Honorary Pallbearers will be Blair Wheeler, and Rick Nelson.
