HARROGATE, Tenn. — E.J. Cox, 75, of Harrogate, TN., passed away Tuesday March 25, 2014 at his home. He was born May 1, 1938 at Miracle, KY, a son of the late Birchel and Opal Cox. He was a member of the Gap Creek Baptist Church. He also served in the U.S. Army and was a longtime member of Gideon International. In addition to his Parents he was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Bill, Don and Mitchell Cox and 1 Sister: Lewanna Wilson.
Wife of 53 years: Betty Miracle Cox of Harroagte, TN.;
1 Daughter: Belinda (Keith) Mortag of Galacia, IL.;
1 Son: Jeff Cox of Harrogate, TN.;
Brothers: Curt (Mary) Cox of Jonesville, VA. and John B. (Ginger) Cox of Corbin, KY.;
Sister: Anna Greene of Cloverdale, IN.;
4 special chosen Grandchildren: Michael, Garrett, Kerstin, and Ali Miracle. Children of his Nephew: Lee (Crystal) Miracle of Spring Lake, MI.;
Special long time friend: Jerry Campbell

Funeral services will be held at 7 pm Friday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Chad Burdett and Jerry Miracle presiding. Music will provided by Diann Lay and Mesha Gibbons. Graveside services will held at 11 am Saturday at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Full Military Honors will be given by the American Legion Dewey Guy Post #14. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday at the Creech Funeral Home.
