HULEN — Katherine Hensley Wilder, 68, of Hulen, KY passed away peacefully on June 5, 2014 at the Pineville Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 28, 1945 in Cardinal, KY to the late Robert "Bob" and Marie Asher Hensley.
Katherine was the store manager of Hensley Shoe Store on Highway 119 and raised two children. She was member of Blackmont Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.
She is survived by the following members of her family:
Her Husband of 44 years: Arles Wilder who she married on Christmas Eve 1969.
Son: Arles and Trichina Wilder of Manchester, KY
Daughter: Katrina and Troy Goodnight of Barbourville, KY
1 Sweet precious granddaughter: Hadley Sue Wilder
3 Sisters: Lillie Mae (late Wallace) Robbins, Bobbie Sue (Russell) Miracle, Phyllis (Glenn) Slusher
3 Sister-in-laws: Ollie Mae (Dempsey) Miracle, Wanda (Lloyd "Shot") Wilder, Maggie (Luther) Taylor
Brother-in-law: Eugene (Agnes) Wilder
And many special nieces and nephews, a number of other close loving relatives and friends.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to all of those who care for her during this time. Words can't describe the comfort and love that was felt from the staff at Pineville Community Hospital, especially Dr. Madhan Mohan, and for the love and prayers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 8 at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Howard, Rev. Jeff Tingle, and Rev. Preston Smith. Music will be provided by Rev. Jeff Tingle.
Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Nathan Cornett, Dylan Cox, Logan Cox, Dwayne Goodin, Robert Miracle, Wally Robbins, Bobby Glenn Slusher, Robby Slusher. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Cornett, Jeff Cox, Jody Greene, Ronnie Ray Miracle, Russell Miracle, Glenn Slusher, Jim Westerfield, Robbie Westerfield.
