FRAKES — Edd Browning, 92 of Frakes, KY, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at his home.

He was born January 8, 1922 at Frakes, KY, the son of the late John and Axie Partin Browning.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army during WW II. He retired from General Motors and had also been a coal miner for several years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Sarah Elizabeth Browning, 2 Sisters: Opal Browning and Edith Baird, 2 Brothers: Ernest and Herman Browning.

He is survived by the following members of his family:

1 Son: Eddie Ray Browning of Jasper, GA

2 Daughters: Darnell (Dennis) Boekel of Logansville, GA and Judy K. (Lyle) Maiden of Frakes, KY

2 Sisters: Francis Partin of Frakes, KY and Wilma Jean Jones of Edgerton, OH.

6 Grandchildren: Randy Yeazel, Jennifer Carstensen, Chris Boekel, Kenny McIntosh, Eddie Ray Browning Jr., and Katy Cropper.

6 Great-grandchildren: Justin Carstensen, Jordan, Taylor Renee and Blake McIntosh, Spencer Brunson and Wyatt Boekel.

2 Great-great grandchildren: Ava Rose Carstensen and Rowan Grant Carstensen

And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 27, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Fuson presiding. Music was provided by Violet Miracle and the New Vine Choir. Interment followed in the New Vine Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Chris Boekel, Kenny McIntosh, Justin Carstensen, Blake McIntosh, Lyle Maiden and Ronnie Browning.

The family received friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 27, at the Creech Funeral Home.
