TAZEWELL, Tenn. — S.B. Saylor, Jr., 79 of Tazewell, TN, passed away Friday, August 8, at his home.

He was born June 7, 1935 at Insull, KY, the son of the late S.B. Saylor, Sr. and Hazel Johnson Saylor.

He had served his country honorably in the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Karen McIntosh and a sister: Sylvia Williams. He is survived by the following members of his family:

His wife of 59 years: Mary Saylor of Tazewell, TN

2 Daughters: Rebecca Wilder of Miracle, KY and Pamela Clardy of Shelby Township, MI

Grandchildren: Jason McIntosh, Joshua Hale, Jeremiah Wilder and Grace Clardy

Great-Grandchildren: Kiara Lee, Joshua Hale and Hope McIntosh

Sisters: Annette Chipley of Lexington, KY; Eleanora Hoskins of Pontiac, MI and Emma Holden of Dimondale, MI

Special Friends: John and Sheila Smith

And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to express their eternal gratitude to Dr. Steve Morgan, The Staff of the Pineville Community Hospital, Amedysis Hospice and Home Health.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 11, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Graves presiding. Music will be provided by Curtis and Stephanie Eldridge.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Mark Hensley, John Smith, Jim McIntosh, Jason McIntosh, Jeremiah Wilder and Joshua Hale. Honorary Pallbearer will be Matthew Williams

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 11, at the Creech Funeral Home. Online condolences and guestbook are available at
