MIDDLESBORO — Ben Davis, 72, of Middlesboro, went to be with his Heavenly Father on June 6, 2014. He was born July 18, 1941 at Frakes, KY, the son of the late Buddy and Grace Osborne Davis.

He was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Ewing, VA, he was saved in 1966 and he loved to sing and play his guitar. He also loved cutting grass with his John Deere lawnmower. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Lela Davis, Georgia Martin, Hazel Davis and Edith Lambdin; brothers: Fred and Cordell Davis and nephews: Ronnie and Dewey Davis.

He is survived by the following members of his family:

His loving wife of 49 years: Leavada Davis of Middlesboro

Children: Amanda Frost of Middlesboro and Craig (Cristy) Davis of Cumberland Gap, TN

Grandchildren: Sean and Ashtyne Frost; Chelsey and Craig Scott "C.J." Davis all of Cumberland Gap, TN; great-granddaughter: Brooklyn Grace Smith, all of whom he loved so very much.

Brother: Damon (Lorene) Davis of Middlesboro, KY

Sisters: Mariam Brown of Sevierville, TN; Maxine (Steve) Kennedy of Lafollette, TN and Ida Mae Parker of Middlesboro, KY

Sister-in-law: Pat Davis of Lafollette, TN

Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Ronnie (Tammy) Browning of Sevierville, TN; Robinson (Johnnie) Browning of Hyden, KY; Vonda Lynn (Neal) Lambdin of Plantation, FL and Rose Mary (Darrell) Walters of Covington, KY

And a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Sutton, Rev. Richard Barnett, Rev. John Brown and Rev. Danny Bruce presiding. Music will be provided by Alan and Linda Barton, Nicole Mike and Ashtyne Frost. Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jerry Davis, Alan Barton, Blaine Mike, Ronnie Browning, Robinson Browning and Sean Frost. Honorary pallbearers will be Dee Middleton, James Cosby, Sonny Warf, Clint Lambdin, Steve Kennedy and Neal Lambdin.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday, June 9, at the Creech Funeral Home. Online condolences and guestbook are available at
