News Death Notice

MELTON, Robert Kenneth age 76, of Middletown passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born December 31, 1935 in Middletown, OH to Roy Roscoe and Hettie Orie (Page) Melton. He served our country during the Korean War in the U S Navy with an honorable discharge. He worked in the B.O.F. and open hearth at AK Steel for 37 years, retiring in 1990. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Vernon, Delma and Ronald Melton; stepson, Lee Kennedy; son-in-law, Don Banks and dog, Coco. Robert is survived by his wife, Ailene Melton of 49 years; step-children, Ann Banks, Brenda (David) Adams, Joyce (Harold) Svarda, Don (Bobbie) Kennedy; several step-grandchildren and great- grandchildren; brother, John (Carol) Melton; sister, Carolyn Lawson; sister-in-law, Wilma Melton; daughter-in-law, Regina Kennedy and many loving family members and friends. He will be sadly missed by his friends at Middletown Cabinet Shop. Memorial contributions to P.A.W.S, 2790 Cincinnati - Dayton Rd., P.O. Box 684, Middletown, Ohio 45042.
