News Death Notice
BAILEY, Herbert J. (Bert) Age 86, formerly of Middletown, died Monday, July 5 in Goodyear, Arizona. Bert played football for Middletown High and Otterbein College. He received the Purple Heart while fighting in Normandy during WWII. He retired from Armco in 1984. He was an avid bowler and a member of the Butler County Bowling Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife, Audrey of Goodyear, son, David Bailey of Middletown, daughters, Candace Porter of East Troy, WI, and Caprice Bailey of Gaithersburg, MD. He is also survived by stepdaughters, Freda Cook and Teresa Rockwood of Phoenix, AZ, and stepsons Todd Brewer of Chandler, AZ and Rick Brewer of Hamilton, Ohio as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
