News Death Notice
MALLICOAT, Freda Elizabeth Coffey age 88 of Springboro passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Kettering Hospital. She was born March 31, 1924 in Thorn Hill, TN the daughter of Walter and Mamie Coffey. She was a loving wife and sister. Adoring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Loyal friend and confidante. One of God's earthly angels who loved her church and strived to live in the image of our Lord Jesus Christ and was a dedicated member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Franklin, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Horace Mallicoat; son-in-law, Terry Dearth; a brother, Loyd "Jack" Coffey, a sister, Wanda Ann Coffey Holt; brother-in-law, Allen Herald; and a nephew, Randall Herald. Freda is survived by her five children, Carolyn Muthert (Patrick) of Knoxville, TN, Janice Dearth of St. James City, FL, Barbara Kirkpatrick (Ray) of Springboro, OH, Rhonda Hangen (Gary) of Centerville, OH, and Jerry Mallicoat of Springboro, OH. She is also survived by her beloved friend, John Cummings and 7 grandchildren, Lisa Muthert Feazell, Todd Muthert, Dawn Cox Mynhier, Chad Cox, Brian Kirkpatrick, Kelly Kirkpatrick, and Jason Smith; 6 siblings, Rose, Tootsie, Wilbur, Alton, R.B., and Vernon and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and her church family. Funeral service will be Monday, July 16, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home (Springboro). Visitation will be from 11:00 until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Springboro Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 ) www.anderson-fh.com
