News Death Notice
PATE, Catherine May age 58 of Middletown, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 21, 2013 at her residence. She was born May 1, 1954 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of John Hutchens and Alice (Henderson) Hutchens. Catherine was a school nurse at John XXIII Catholic Elementary School, and an active member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Dr. Kenton Pate; two daughters, Elizabeth Pate of Middletown, Abigail Pate of Cincinnati; one son, John K. Pate of Perth, United Kingdom; one granddaughter, Natalie; two brothers, David Fuller of Akron, Ohio, John Hutchens of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and ten nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Monday at the First Baptist Church with Reverend Ken Fey officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 PM, Sunday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery. Cathy had a strength and spirit unmatched by anyone I know. She was an inspiration to those of us who were in tap dance class with her. I will always think of Cathy when I am tapping.
