Thomas Marshall Obituary
Born March 27, 1942 in Middletown, CT to Floyd and Lucy Marshall, Tom was a longtime area resident. Tom was very active in the Elks, serving as Exalted Ruler for 3 terms. He served as past President of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and was a former member of the Board of Directors of Big Brothers in Middletown, CT. Tom's longtime career was as a Tool and Die maker, however his favorite job was driving a school bus during his retirement years.
Tom is survived by his wife, Olive-Marie Marshall, of Westbrook, his sister and brother in-law, Barbara and Vincent Malone, of Middletown, and his three daughters and three son in-laws; Stacy and Anthony Neri of Westbrook, Vicki and Jay Griffin of Old Lyme and Laura and Jeffrey Connolly of East Lyme.
Tom is lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren, Amber, Cassidy, Mackenzie and Brooke Neri, Brennan and Tanner Griffin, Nichole (Connolly) Richman and Gwenyth and Eliza Connolly.
A memorial service will be held at 12pm Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook, CT. Family will receive friends from 10am-12pm prior to services. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your favorite charity in Tom's name would be appreciated.
The world lost a really good man on Tuesday. Thank you for being a great husband, father, grandfather and friend to all you met. You will be missed forever but never forgotten.

Tom was a great guy and really had a way with words. He always made my day when gracing me with his presence at the Westbrook Elks. Tom was always quick with a joke and to let you know how he really felt. He will be missed

Tom was my cousin, but he was more like a brother. When we were little he lived upstairs and he taught me so many things...some of them things he shouldn't have. But he taught me the value of having fun, to enjoy life. And that was a lesson that's served me well. Thanks, Tom.

I am at such a loss of words, it was just a few days ago he was in my presence. His laughter was so contagious and his jokes and stories could make anyone giggle. He was a very charming and wonderful man, I am a better person for knowing him. My days will never be the same without seeing his smiling face. Rest in peace angel.
