Lynn Barnes

BARNES, LYNN ELLEN Lynn Ellen Barnes, 59, of Forest Street, Bellows Falls, VT died unexpectedly at her home. Lynn was born July 15, 1954, in Middletown, CT, the daughter of Richard and Marjorie (Farrands) Crowell. She was a graduate of the Woodrow Wilson High School in Middletown, CT. Following graduation she joined the United States Army, serving for four years, some of that time served in Germany. She worked in security at VT Yankee and was presently working as the ISO Safety Manager at Sonnax in Rockingham, VT. Lynn was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, served as VT State President. She was a member of the Whip City Drum Corps and the Deep River Ancient Fife and Drum Corps. She enjoyed reading and music. Lynn is survived by her mother, Marjorie Murphy of Middletown, CT; her sister, Loreen Miller and husband George of Cromwell, CT; nephews, Peter Niesyn and wife Sandy of Middletown, CT and Ryan Niesyn and wife Michelle of Meriden, CT; great nieces, Alyssa, Jamilee, and Felicity; aunt Maureen and uncle Joe Romano of Middletown, CT; cousins, Scott Romano and wife Louise, Rick Romano and wife Rochelle, all of Middletown, CT. She was predeceased by her father, Richard Crowell. There will be calling hours at the Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home, Bellows Falls, VT, Thursday, March 13, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. There will be a funeral at the Chapel at the CT State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown, CT at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 14 with burial to follow.
