Olivia Heckstall

HECKSTALL, OLIVIA “SIS” (RAYNOR) Olivia “Sis” (Raynor) Heckstall, 87, of Middletown, passed away on Thursday, March 13th at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Colerain, NC, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Florida (Watford) Raynor. Sis lived in Middletown since 1965 and was a member of Open Door Missionary Baptist Church. She worked for Forest City Cleaners and Elmcrest Psychiatric Hospital. Sis loved crocheting, flowers, reading and Gospel music. She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Cockrell of Middletown and Florence Mangum (Larry) of Meriden; three brothers, Willie Raynor of NC, James Raynor of NC and Richard Raynor (Eunice) of Middletown; four sisters, Adele Freeman of NC, Edna Raynor of Middletown, Bessie Lee Askew of NC and Sarah Tyler of Middletown; fifteen grandchildren; thirty–four great-grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; two good friends, Nanette “Nan” Andrews of FL and Geraldine “Gerri” Pratt of Middletown and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 20th at 11:00am at The Open Door Missionary Church, 76 High Street, Middletown, with Rev. Mack Elder officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
