Anna DiMauro, 88, of Batt Street, Middletown, wife of the late Salvatore DiMauro, died on Tuesday at Middlesex Hospital. Born on January 3, 1925, in Melilli, Italy, daughter of the late Antonio and Rosa [Carta] Caminito. She had been a resident of Middletown most of her life. Anna was a member of St. Sebastian Church, the Sacred Heart Society, the Third Franciscan Order, and the Anita Garibaldi Society. She is survived by her loving family, Emanuel [Nello] DiMauro of Middletown, two daughters, Rose DiMauro of Berlin, Tina and son-in-law Luigi Ternullo of Middletown, a brother, Carmelo Caminito of Italy, six grandchildren, Michael DiMauro, Paul DiMauro, Jason Adorno, Vincent Adorno, Joseph Ternullo, Louie Ternullo, five great-grandchildren, and also several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by six brothers, Angelo, Salvatore, Luigi, Sebastiano, Giuseppe, and Filippo. The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 19th at 12 noon at the Coughlin-Lastrina Funeral Home in Middletown followed by a mass of Christian burial in St. Sebastian Church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the family plot in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield.
