Earl Hills, Jr. Obituary
Earl Served with the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the B. Co. 704 Maintenance Battalion. He received these medals, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 bronze stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device Aircraft Crewman Badge and Army commendation Medal. Upon his return he worked at E.I.S. Brake Parts for over 20 years.
Earl loved music and to play his Gibson guitar. He especially loved his cat "HEY YOU". Earl will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by five sisters, Leila (Hills) Shea and her husband Paul of Mansfield, Dianne (Hills) Dykas and her husband Steve of Middletown, Donna (Hills) Parenti and her husband Robin of Chaplin, Lisa (Hills) Chrzanowski and her husband Stanley IV of Haddam and Amy (Hills) Platt and her husband T.C (Thomas) of Goshen, New Hampshire. Also many nieces and nephews he is predeceased by a brother, David Hills.
A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, October 30th from 6-8 P.M. at the D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main Street. Burial with Military Honors will be Thursday, October 31st at 11 A.M, at the State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown. Online condolences available at dangelofuneralhome.com

We will always have a special place in our hearts (and home) for Earl (and Dorothy). John and I have known Earl for many many years, and saw him as a reserved, quiet soul. When Dorothy passed away - and he was clearing things out - she had a cedar chest that we came to possess. John refurbished it and is now a wonderful piece of furniture in our home. Earl loved knowing that it went to us, and is being used - with love. We will miss seeing Earl at various events and parties, and will miss his quiet demeanor and presence.
