Elizabeth O'Donnell

Elizabeth (Parker) O'Donnell, 81, of Deep River passed away at Chesterfields Health and Rehabilitation Center in Chester on October 31, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Mary Ellen (Dreher) and J. Edward Parker. Elizabeth was a graduate of Deep River High School Class of 1949 and also graduated from the Hartford Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. She was a communicant at St. Joseph Church in Chester, a past Girl Scout Leader, and a Past President of American Legion Auxiliary of the Ibell-Jacobson-Smith Post #61 in Deep River. She retired in 2000 as a nursing night supervisor at the Highview Healthcare in Middletown, and had also served on the Deep River Housing Authority Board since 2009. Elizabeth is survived by two sons, Thomas and his wife Maryann of Old Lyme and Kevin and his wife Amy of Littleton, Colorado. She also leaves two daughters, Colleen Davis of New Britain, and Tara Bouchard and her husband Mark of Deep River, 5 grandchildren, Jeffrey and his wife Donna, Caitlin, Michael, Jacob and Emma, and one great grandson, Weston. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 2:00-4:00PM.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Monday, November 4th at St. Joseph Church, 48 Middlesex Avenue in Chester.
