Helen Zakrzewski

Helen (Zawilinski) Zakrzewski, 88 of Middletown, wife of the late Stanley H. Zakrzewski died Thursday at Middlesex Hospital. She was born in Middletown, daughter of the late Peter and Ann (Sepiol) Zawilinski. Helen attended St. Mary's School, Woodrow Wilson High School and was a communicant of St. Mary Church. Prior to retirement, she worked at the Russell Manufacturing Company and Safeway Heat Elements.
Helen is survived two granddaughters, Laura Krueger and husband Kurt of Meriden, Deborah Baldwin-Weeks and her husband Don of Florida, a son-in-law, Steven Baldwin of Middletown, three great grandchildren, Kevin Krueger of Meriden, Kayla Weeks and Kristen Weeks both of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a sister, Theresa Watcke and her husband Robert of Bridgeport, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Carol Baldwin, ten brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:15 a.m. from Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown followed by an 11 a.m. Funeral Liturgy in St. Mary of Czestochowa Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
