Lena Inferrera Obituary
She leaves a son and daughter-in-law, James J. and Roberta Inferrera of Portland, a sister, Helen Sutkowski of Portland, a special niece, Laura Sutkowski of Portland, a granddaughter, Laura and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Ann Marie Tuttle, 3 brothers, James, Salvatore and Joseph, and by 4 sisters, Minnie, Santina, Connie and Betty.
Funeral services will be held Thursday February 21, 2013 at 10AM from Portland Memorial Funeral Home, 231 Main St., Portland with a Mass at 11AM at the Church of St. Mary, Portland. Burial will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 7PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of St. Mary, 51 Freestone Ave., Portland, CT. 06480 or to the Portland Food Bank, 7 Waverly Ave., Portland, CT. 06480. Lena will always have a special place in my heart.I worked with her as a young girl as a nurses aid and she trained me well, we became close friends over the years and then lost touch.She was a big inspiratation for my chosen career of becoming a nurse.She gave me alot of support and courage.She was a very special lady to all that knew her.

I have fond memories of my Auntie Lena, especially her cooking and delicious feasts. I am so glad I had the opportunity to speak with her shortly before she left us. She was sharp and recalled many fascinating family stories. Her 90th birthday party was a grand celebration. We will miss you.
