Louis LaRosa III Obituary

Lou, born August 3, 1946 in Middletown, Connecticut, passed away August 12, 2013 in Auburn, California, his dream retirement community. He was surrounded with family and close friends as he embarked on his final journey. With him at the end were his loving wife Susan, sister, Joyce Grasso and friends.
Lou was passionate about his chosen career of geology, working in the field of gas and oil exploration for 10 years and in the environmental field for 25 years.
He was a life time sports fanatic dedicated to the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and the Pittsburg Steelers, and he loved his fantasy baseball league with Jimmy. Every year for the past 20 years Lou and Sue loved to go to Sayulita, Mexico with friends. He found absolute peace sitting on his deck.
Lou's dream throughout his recent health challenges was to get home to California and HE DID!
In remembrance of Lou and his lifetime commitment to the Boston Red Sox donations can be made to the Red Sox "Jimmy Fund". This fund honors Jimmy Valvano's "Never Give Up" belief and provides support for cancer research and all whom are touched by this disease. 1-800-525-4669 or www.redsox.com
Lou will be laid to rest on September 11, 2013 at Calvery Cemetery in Middletown CT. at 11:00 AM.

Louie always had that special twinkle in his eyes.In High School he was never afraid to "go for " whatever he felt passionate about, even if it might mean taking a risk. He was a strong athlete, and a spirited person.Hope to see you someday on the other side Lou. Regards to your family who I'm sure will miss you terribly. Kathy Howie.Branford, Ct.

Please join me by celebrating the life of my dear friend. He adored his beautiful wife, his family, many friends, and his country. He improved the economy of Massachusetts each year when he visited Fenway and purchased his memorbilia. Lobsters, chowder, and oysters made his vacations on The Cape "poopdeck" special for all of us who gathered there! Lou loved his Lucy who rarely left his side along with her we shall miss him always.....

RIP cousin Lou. I remember all the great times we had together in our younger days. Playing football against one another and hanging out.. We always had a good laugh. I remember the day you came to see me when I was going through basic training in the service and how you assured me all will be fine. RIP Louie.
