Rita Anderson Obituary

Rita E. Anderson, 58, of Moodus, died Tuesday, May 21st at Middlesex Hospital. Born April 9, 1955 in Middletown she was the daughter of the late, Warren and Florence (Berg) Anderson. Rita had lived in Moodus her whole life and was employed at Silgan Plastics in Deep River. She was a member of Haddam Neck Covenant Church, a past member of the Moodus Drum and Fife Corp where she had been a bass drummer and was in the color guard. She is survived by her sister, Terri Anderson-Murray and her husband Patrick of Moodus, a sister, Dorothea Dagmar DeMusis and her husband Michael of Durham, three nieces and two nephews. She was especially close to Erin, Jamie and Nicholas Murray. She loved her cats April, Ashley and Jason. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, John B. Anderson. Friends may call at the Spencer Funeral Home, 112 Main Street, East Hampton on Thursday, May 23rd from 6PM until 8PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 24th at 11AM in the Spencer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lake View Cemetery. To leave online condolences please visit www.spencerfuneralhomeinc.com.
