Rosa Leachman Obituary

LEACHMAN, ROSA ELIZABETH RUFFIN Rosa Elizabeth (Ruffin) Leachman, 87, of Middletown, passed away on Friday, January 10th at Water’s Edge Center. Born in Lewiston, NC, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Rosa (Pettiford) Ruffin. Rosa lived in Middletown since 1957 and was a former member of Shiloh Baptist Missionary Church. She is survived by two sons, Willie Lassiter of Willimantic and Hayward Smith of Middletown; three daughters, Porsha Crump of Richmond, VA, MaryAnne Perry of Middletown and Sheila Sappleton of Middletown; a sister, Bessie Ruffin of Ahoskie, NC and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 16th at 11:00am at Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Thursday morning before the service from 10:00 to 11:00am and may send messages of condolence to the family at www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
