Ruth Taylor Obituary

Ruth Melva (Harper) Taylor, 96, of Middletown, passed away on Thursday, October 24th at Middlesex Hospital. Born on December 18, 1916 in La Junta, CO, she was the daughter of the late W.R. Harper and Lois (Glenn) Harper. Along with her parents she was predeceased by; her brothers, Glenn and Bob Harper; sister, Irene, and her daughter, Cheryl Ann Kelly. Ruth is survived by sister, Helen Nelson and niece, Klara Dow, as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the beloved grandmother of three grandchildren, Devin, Austin and Quinn Blythe Kelly and five great grandsons. Ruth lived many years in CA and enjoyed traveling to many places including Hawaii, Europe & Mexico. Her final forty years were spent in Middletown enjoying time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a beacon of goodness and love. There are no services and interment will be at the convenience of the family. Ruth was one of the kindest souls I've known. Her gentle, humble spirit was ever present even as she lived through sadness and loss. Rest in peace, my friend.
