Sal was a wonderful man. From the moment I met him five years ago, we became friends.
He was funny, very kind, and full of life. I remember seeing him on TV being interviewed because he was in his 90's and in a bowling league. I attended his 100th birthday party and you could tell by the crowd that he was well loved. We danced together - when he was well in his 90's, and when the song was over, he wanted to dance some more. He loved to fix things, and he fixed one of my kitchen chairs - which is still in excellent shape. He called me "the blonde", probably because he knew so many people and that was one way he could remember me. I will NEVER forget Sal. Rest in Peace my friend!!!
