Sebastian V. Spada

1924 - 2013

Sebastian V. Spada, 88, of Cromwell, passed away on Friday (April 5, 2013) at the Middlesex Health Care Center. He was the beloved husband of Lillian G. (Harris) Spada for 69 years. Born in Middletown on June 3, 1924, son of the late Sebastiano and Concettina (Micciulla) Spada. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Judith S. Isaacson (Guy Turgeon) of Lebanon, a granddaughter Amy L. Gilbert and her husband Richard W. Gilbert of Durham and a greatgrandson, Devin R. Gilbert of Durham, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Anthony S. Spada and Salvatore Spada of Middletown and his three sisters, Rose M. Vinci of Cromwell, Anna Moncata Engilman of Arizona and Josephine Bartolotta of Portland. He retired from the Russell Manufacturing Company and the J.J. Vinci Oil Co
He was a Veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. We would like to thank the staff of the Middlesex Health Care Center for their support, love and care they gave Sebastian (Sebby).
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 A.M. from the D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main St., Middletown followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Sebastian Church. Burial, with Military Honors, will be held in the State Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown. Family and friends may call at the D'Angelo Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5-7 P.M.
