Thomas "Thom" S. DiMauro, Jr., age 54 of Middletown, CT entered into peaceful rest on Tuesday afternoon, June 4, 2013 surrounded by family. Thom was born in Middletown on September 5, 1958, son of Donna Guynn DiMauro of Middletown and the late Thomas S. DiMauro, Sr. Thom was well-traveled and lived in many places including Connecticut, California and Illinois. He was a supporter of the arts and his love of music was undeniable. Thom devoted his life to songwriting. He deeply cared for others as evidenced by his decision to act as an organ donor. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Derek J. DiMauro and his wife Gina M. Antonacci of Middletown and Alex M. DiMauro of St. Augustine, FL; his grandmother, Emily D'Aversa of Middletown; two sisters, Susan J. Treloar and Karen E. Kmietek both of Middletown; one grandchild, Lillian Brottman-DiMauro of St. Augustine, FL, and several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. Interment will be in Maine. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to Middlesex Hospice and Palliative Care at 28 Crescent Street, Middletown, CT 06457. Biega Funeral Home has care of the arrangements. When I think of Tomm your Dad being of course I remember him being married to your Mom my sister Kathy. I also worked with Thom back in the 90's at Madrigal Audio Labs in Middletown. Thom was a very talented musician and his love for music and songwriting was evident.
