Walter "Woody" Renock

Walter (Woody) Renock, 82, beloved husband of Frances (Franco) Renock, of Spring Street, Middletown, died at home on Sunday, September 29, 2013 after a short illness. Son of John and Marie (Dagenais) Renock (Hrywniak), he was born and raised in New Britain, CT and resided in Middletown for most of his life. Prior to retirement, he was employed at Southern New England Telephone for many years. He was expert in many trade skills and was happily available to family and friends to work on home improvement projects.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John Renock and wife Pamela of Syracuse, NY, and Richard Renock of Rocky Hill, CT; a daughter Paula Renock and lifetime partner Betsy Hutchins of Hinsdale, NH; two grandchildren, Jason and Rachel Renock; sister and brothers-in-law Mary Yuniskis, Rose Franco, Isabella Franco, and James and Betty Franco; and many nieces and nephews, including BJ and Pattie who were so loving and helpful.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield. The Coughlin-Lastrina Funeral Home, 491 High Street, Middletown, is in charge of arrangements.
