To the family of Bill Connors,
Bill was our son Ben's van driver in elementary school. He knew every one of the children as individuals and would inquire about things that were important to them in their lives. He would be the first face they would see after leaving their home and their classroom each day. He would ask them about school and always check to see how they had done on their spelling test. If they had a school project he would help them carry their larger projects into the school, making sure they didn't get wet on rainy days. In later years when we would see him out and about he would always ask about our grown son. Our now thirty year old son still remembers the safety and security he felt traveling to and from school in “Buddy Bill's” van. Our sympathies are with your family. He was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. Thank you Bill. Rest in Peace.

Dear Gail and Kathy,
My sons, Lucian and Nick had your Dad as their bus driver for many years. He was a very kind and caring man, Lucian was very sad to hear of his passing. Whenever we saw Bill, Lucian would yell to him, I love you Bill! He would also make a heart sign with his hands after Bill dropped him off and was driving away. Your Dad would laugh and so would I. Lucian is in high school and didn't mind at all showing his affection for him. This is how we will remember Bill in our lives! What a special man.

Dearest Gail,
I have fond memories of your dynamic Dad, who loved you more than life itself. You were always his pride and joy and brought such happiness to his life. Although you are suffering his loss, please take solace that he's now reunited with his loving wife and your Mother, Jeanne, to share eternity with the good Lord. He will always live on in your mind, heart and soul until you meet again...
Love,
Mary Ann

To Gail and Kathy.
Bill was a wonderfully kind and giving gentleman. I had the distinct honor and privilege to have him as my friend. I hope that the fond memories that you have of the good times will serve to help comfort you now and in the future. He certainly loved you both very much!
To my friend, Bill, I wish you fair winds and following seas on your journey home. I shall miss you.

To the Family of Bill Connors,
I am so sad to read about Bill's death. He was a very special man - a wonderful bus driver for our students.
Bill and I had many conversations while he waited for the kindergarten students at BES. I remember when his wife died. He told me all the events of her last day - the soup - and he told me he didn't feel like putting up a Christmas tree. So, I bought him an ornament, and I wrapped it for him. I told him that now he had to put up a tree. Bill was witty and fun. I missed seeing him after he retired.
May he rest in peace, and may you be comforted during your time of sorrow. My deepest sympathy to you all.

I was one of the many elementary school children that had the privilege of having Bill Conners ("Buddy Bill" as I knew him) drive me to and from school each day. This was many years ago, but I still remember his upbeat and genuinely happy personality. My condolences and prayers to Bill's family. Buddy Bill will have a special place in many people's hearts and will always be missed.
