Allan Gilbert Buckle, 81, of Cromwell, husband of the late Eileen (Kloetzer) Buckle, passed away on Tuesday, January 8th at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Springfield, MA, he was the son of the late Ernest and Susan (Welsh) Buckle.

Allan was a lifetime member of the Elks Club, enjoyed music, health clubs and was an avid Red Sox fan. He loved the last job he had which was driving for Dattco Bus Company in Middletown but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Allan is survived by his two daughters, Randie Reil and her fiancée, Robert Barone of Middletown and Susan Filacchione and her husband, Michael of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Andrea, Jessica, Robert, and Nicki; three great grandchildren, Nathan, Arianna and Dominic; and his beloved companions, Bucky, Eddie and Cheetah.
Along with his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his son, Craig Buckle.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 12th at 11:00am at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell with Rev. Douglas G. J. VanVeldhuisen officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, Allan's wishes are for donations to be sent to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, D.C. 20077-7127.
