Ann Kowalczyk Obituary

Ann M. (Rutkowski) Kowalczyk, age 93, of Middletown, passed away Sunday, May 27 at Middlesex Health Care Center. She was born in New Britain, Dec. 22, 1918.
She was the daughter of the late Kasimier and Anna (Lasinski) Rutkowski. Wife of the late Walter S. Kowalczyk, Jr., she was also predeceased by her son, Walter S. Kowalczyk, III. Ann was a parishioner of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church and a member of St. Mary's Ladies Guild and Seniors Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen K. Kennedy and her husband, Brian, a daughter-in-law, Betty Kowalczyk and three granddaughters, Michelle Kowalczyk, Kristine Kowalczyk and Courtney Kennedy, all of Middletown, and also several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Middlesex Health Care Center for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 2 at 11:15 a.m. from Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, followed by a noon Funeral Liturgy at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Middletown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home on Friday, June 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Our Lady of the Angels Convent, 1315 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082.
