Frank J. Laz, 90, of Middletown, husband of the late Rose (Aresco) Laz, died on Sunday, January 13, 2013, at Middlesex Hospital.

He was born in Middletown, son of the late John and Katherine (Grzych) Laz. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army. Prior to retirement, Frank was a machinist working for New Departure Hyatt. He enjoyed watching sports and his favorite teams were the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and UConn basketball. He was a member of the Polish Falcons and a communicant of St. Mary Church.
Frank is survived by his daughters, Donna Way of Cromwell, Denise Sajdak and her husband Ray of Middletown, Kathleen Chubet and her husband Rick of Middletown; a sister, Steffie Pasieka; five grandchildren, Tracy Deegan, Steven Way, Jennifer Romegialli, Kevin Chubet and Ryan Chubet. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Laz and two sisters, Sophie Laz and Stacia Novotny.
The Family would like to extend their gratitude to the nursing staff (2nd floor) at Wadsworth Glen, especially Stephanie, Mary M., Jill, Andrew, Sarah, Stefania and also to dad's favorite PT's, Holly and McKenzie.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held Thursday (Jan. 17th) at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Middletown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St, Middletown, prior to the liturgy.
