Jean T. (Forbes) D’Orio Obituary
Jean T. (Forbes) D'Orio of Camp Street, Middletown, wife of the late John D'Orio died Saturday at her home.
She was born in Staten Island, NY the daughter of the late Alphonse and Teresa (Hofstetter) Forbes.
Prior to her retirement Jean was employed as a registered nurse with Middlesex Hospital. She was a communicant of Saint Pius X Church and a volunteer for the Church's Care and Share and blood pressure screening programs. Jean served as treasurer of AARP, and she loved line dancing at the Middletown Senior Center.
Jean is survived by her two sons, Jay D'Orio and his wife Julie of Cromwell, Phil D'Orio of Cromwell; two daughters, Rhonda Brown and her husband John of Marlborough and Kathy Langella and her husband Manny of Colchester; eight grandchildren; Jason Brown, Amber Brown, Chelsea Brown, Erika Langella, Manny Langella, Jennifer D'Orio, Kristen D'Orio, John D'Orio, also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Forbes.
The funeral will be Friday at 10:15 a.m. from Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Pius X Church, Middletown. Burial will be in the State Veterans Cemetery. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Donations may be made to 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Ctr., Rocky Hill, CT 06067
