GRENIER, JOHANNA Johanna Grenier, born on December 19, 1920, died on Sunday, June 8, 2014. Born in Meriden, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Rose Ferro. She had resided in Meriden for most of her life. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church. Johanna was a very special mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a single parent who was hardworking and generous. The way she lived her life left a legacy for her family to carry on. She will be remembered by all who loved her. She is survived by her children Nancy Grenier and the late Walt Martancik of Rockfall, Richard and Veronica Grenier of Meriden, Joan Kafka and Jim St. Amand of Wallingford; grandchildren Tina and Eric Finnelli of Rockfall, Tara and Mike Ruggerio of Columbus, New Jersey, Elizabeth Grenier and Erik Merliss of Wallingford and Rachel Grenier and Mike Theriault of Meriden; great-grandchildren, Frankie and Ayden Finelli, Tommy and Sophia Spinner and Erik Merliss. She was predeceased by four sisters, Agnes Thompson, Angie Ross, Josie Barber and Mary Glorioso and two brothers, Dominic Ferro and Phillip Ferro. The funeral will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10:15 at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden, CT 06450 and at 11 am at St. Colman Church in Middlefield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Middlefield Cemetery.
