Obituary Condolences

Leonard Zaklukiewicz, 69, of Partridge Lane, Middletown, beloved husband of Linda (Blancato) Zaklukiewicz, died Tuesday June 25, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. He was born in Middletown, the son of the late Edward J. and Anna (Radziwon) Zaklukiewicz. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served with the US Army. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Apria Health Care and most recently DeRita and Sons Construction Company. He was also a member of the American Legion.
His greatest joy was his six grandchildren. He loved serving the Lord and God's people at the food pantry at Good News Christian Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Timbro and her husband Michael of Middletown and Susan DeRita and her husband Peter of Middletown; a brother, Bernard Zak of FL; a sister, Carol Ruffino of Westbrook; and 6 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward Zak.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Good News Christian Church, 46 John Street, Wallingford. Burial, with military honors, will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middletown.
