Mike and I go back a long way - over fifty years. We were tight buds all through high school and beyond. We lost touch for a few years after I left town in 1970 but reconnected after he embraced sobriety. I last saw Mike in 2009 when I and another fellow from our old group, Chuck Ruot, visited Portland. We had a fine dinner together and talked about the grand times of our youth. Farewell old friend. You left us too soon. You will be remembered and greatly missed...

I just met Mike 6 1/2 months ago and am so grateful to have had that opportunity. Little did he know, he helped teach me how to live a much better life than I had been and I thank him from the bottom of my heart. He will forever live on in my thoughts and prayers and I will truly miss him, especially on Saturday mornings. May peace be with you Mike and thank you so much for sharing your words of wisdom.
