Olive Mae (Thompson) Seifert, 88, of Durham, wife of the late Richard D. Seifert, passed away on Tuesday, April 23rd at Apple Rehab in Middletown. Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Lillian (Hurlimann) Thompson. Olive lived the majority of her life in Durham and was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She was also a member of Martha's Circle in Healdsburg, CA. Olive was our alma de casa.
She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn S. Kantor of Mexico, Kathleen Spreng of Clinton and Roxanne Eurto of Durham; her cousin, Donald Hurlimann of Durham; her special loving nephew, Thomas Seifert of Durham; seven grandchildren and four great grandsons. Along with her parents and husband, Olive was predeceased by her son, Walter Seifert.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 26th at 10:00am at Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown with Rev. Anthony C. Dinoto officiating. Burial will follow in Mica Hill Cemetery in Durham.
