I pray for us all to get through this tough time as we have lost such a huge part of glue that held us together for my whole life. Our nana was a beautiful and gracious woman who we saw as the epitome of class and wisdom. We will greatly miss her laughs, perfect timing in providing us with exactly what we needed, and her special touch of unconditional love. We will get through this and one day will meet her at the gates of Heaven. Rest in Peace Nana, We Love you.

I will think of Sheila Hall Sapp every day for the rest of my life. We spent 35 years together on and off the job. My children have known Sheila their entire lives and are very saddened by this huge loss. My grand-daughter loved Sheila even though Sheila teased her all the time! She touched so many lives (which she is finding out now from Heaven). I have said many prayers in the last few days for Natalie, David, Taylor, Katie and Kristian and all the rest of the family. She was your mom and Nana and we love her deeply too. Sheila, I miss you so much!

This news sure saddens me. As I think of
Shiela, a flood of memories on life at SHS come flooding back.... and they are all full of laughter. As Peg says below.... Shiela was special....so much fun! I can only imagine how much her loving family will miss her. My sympathy to all.... and a special hug to Vernon from me.

Hey Family:

Growing up, Sheila was like the big sister that we never had, in all ways. She baby-sat us, disciplined us (and trust me when I say, no one could get on you like she could), and shared much laughter with us. This special relationship continued even as we became adults with families of our own. Looking back over our lives, there is no doubt that we have been truly blessed; not so much with riches and material possessions, but with precious memories that will last forever. Sheila will forever be remembered for her love of family and friends, her fighting spirit, her strong determination, her genuineness, and her laughter. Remember y'all, "one who is remembered never dies." Rest in peace our sweet Sheila and we will meet up again.

Sheila was one of the funniest people I've had the pleasure to have known. What a quick wit and dry sense of humor. Always joking around and making the little room located in the cellar at the Department of Public Safety a fun place to work. When I read her obituary today I shed a tear knowing that the world has lost a truly beautiful and funny women and I lost a friend. I'll always remember you Shiela. May you rest in peace ...
Love,
Peg

Sheila's family- I am and will always be proud to be part of Sheila's other family- the men and women of the State Police at Troop K. That pride comes from knowing Sheila, not just as a co-worker, but as a friend. Her love of her Troop K family extended beyond work, as her almost daily request was "When are you going to bring your kids in here to see me?" (Sometimes it was "munchkins" or "little ones"-but always the same request. I will take with me forever the sound of her infectious laugh. I can hear it right now and I can not help but smile. You are in our thoughts and prayers, as Sheila will always be.
