Thomas B. Augeri, age 64, beloved husband of Mary (Konareski) of Aiken, SC, formerly of Durham, CT passed away at Georgia Health Sciences on Saturday, January 26, 2013. He was born in Middletown, CT on March 17, 1948 to Joseph Augeri and the late Anne (Brandt) Augeri.
Tom proudly served his country in the U.S.
. He worked for the Wallingford Post Office until his retirement in 2006. He enjoyed the warm winters in South Carolina where he volunteered at Habitat for Humanity Restore, the Solicitors Office, and the gift shop at ARMC. He especially enjoyed his summers in Maine. He enjoyed life, talking, and laughing with his many friends and neighbors. He looked forward to watching his grandchildren play baseball and will now have a special skybox seat to all their games.
Tom was a beloved family man,loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather who will be missed by those who knew him. Besides his wife of 40 years, he is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Guilmartin and husband Wayne of East Granby, Christine Weber and husband Kevin of Wethersfield, brother David of East Windsor, father Joseph of Middletown and five grandchildren, Joshua, Madelyn, Jacob, Tyler, and Olivia.
Family and friends may call Sunday, February 10 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main Street, Middletown. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11 at Notre Dame Church, 272 Main Street, Durham at 10:00am. Leaving D'Angelo Funeral Home at 9:00am. Burial will be at the State Veterans' Cemetery on 317 Bow Lane, Middletown.
