CARUSO, VINCENT P. Vincent P. Caruso, 85, of Middletown died Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Apple Rehab of Middletown. Vincent was born in Middletown the son of the late James and Grace (Bartelemo) Caruso. Prior to his retirement Vincent was the co-owner of Caruso Woodworking. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a Volunteer Firefighter with the South Farms Fire District. Vincent is survived by four nieces: Jo Ann Woickelman, Pat Strom, Barbara Newsom, Lucille Ditunno; a sister-in-law, Antoinette Caruso; and two nephews, Peter Caruso and Chris Caruso. He is also survived by a dear friend Bill Schneck and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Caruso; a sister, Genevieve Reggazoni; and a niece, Jane Caruso. Vincent’s family would like to thank the staff of Apple Rehab of Middletown for their care and compassion shown to them and Vincent. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, Middletown. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial with military honors will be held at a later date in Saint Sebastian Cemetery.
