MaryEmma Martin peacefully went home to Heaven on September 4, 2017, at age 94.

A Joyous Celebration of Life for MaryEmma will be Saturday, September 23, 2017 at San Sebastian Catholic Church, 1112 Route 16, St. Augustine, FL, with Memorial Mass at 6 p.m., followed by a meal served in the Church Hall. Burial in Delaware will be announced at a later date.

Born January 28, 1923 in Townsend, DE to Clarence Nelson and Mary Daniels Pinder, MaryEmma was the youngest of 3 children: Alberta Pinder Savin, Irvin Nelson Pinder and MaryEmma Pinder.

MaryEmma and Paul Kennedy Martin Jr. wed in 1940.
After living half their lives in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, Paul and MaryEmma relocated 45 years ago to St Augustine, FL. Paul and MaryEmma celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in St. Augustine. Paul predeceased MaryEmma in 1991.
Mary Emma was a cherished part of her many friends and family lives, including her very special St. Augustine nieces, nephews and grandson, Charles Davis, and his family: wife, Glendy and daughter Catalina.

MaryEmma was well known for her positive personality, kindness, love and caring to everyone, and beautiful smile for all. Mary Emma enjoyed music and singing with the San Sebastian Church choir for years. Her life was full of enjoyment, participating in family holiday and birthday events. She was an active member in Daughters of American Revolution, St. Augustine Garden Club, HomeMakers Club, and Geneology Club.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Marie Martin Weaver of Melbourne, FL; three children, Teri Martin Yaskowsky (Dennis) of Palm Coast, FL, Elaine V. Albright (David Sr.) of Auburn, CA and Paul (Pat) K. Martin III (Cyndi) of Lewes, DE. She was the matriarch grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, along with over 48 nieces, great nieces and nephews.
