MAPLE PARK – Susan D. Olson, 53, of Maple Park, Ill., passed away into eternal glory Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2013, at home surrounded by her family.
Susan became a beautician and operated a shop in her home for several years as she cared for her family. As the children grew older, she worked in various positions in the medical field.
Susan loved spending time with her family and especially with her grandchildren. Her Christian faith and Bible study were vital parts of her life. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched and forever be an inspiration to fight for things you believe in.
She is survived by her husband, Dale R. Olson; children, Dustin, Drew and Jared (Melissa); grandchildren, Raylan and Elena; siblings, James Romoser (Mincha), of Albuquerque, N.M., Randall Romoser (Karen), of Indianapolis and Bill Romoser (Ellyn), of Batavia; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. John F. Romoser and Alice R. (Randall) Romoser; sister, Katherine; mother-in-law, Marianne F. Olson; and brother-in-law, Duane D. Olson.
The visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 19, at Lord of Life Church, 40W605 Route 38, Elburn, with a celebration of life service at 12:15 p.m. immediately followed by a luncheon. Burial will be held privately.
Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to Lord of Life Church in memory of Susan D. Olson.
