DeKALB – Adam Kent Riegle, 31, of DeKalb, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014.|
Born Aug. 1, 1982, in Evansville, Ind., the son of the Rev. William and Rene (Hoy) Riegle, Adam was united in marriage to the former Brandie Miller on June 16, 2007, and they spent the next seven happy years together.
He was a loving husband, son, brother, nephew, and cousin who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Adam was a member of English Congregational United Church of Christ in Big Rock. He was a graduate of Danville High School in Danville. Adam received his undergraduate degree from Monmouth College and his graduate degree from Illinois State University. He enjoyed working with students and was employed as a residence hall director by Northern Illinois University. Adam loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed drawing and movies, and was especially fond of history.
He is survived by his wife, Brandie Riegle of DeKalb; parents, the Rev. William and Rene Riegle of Big Rock; brothers, Philip Riegle of Elmhurst and Benjamin Riegle of Big Rock; maternal grandparents, Phil and Sandy Hoy of Evansville; paternal grandparents, Bill and Joan Riegle of Kentland, Ind.; father- and mother-in-law, Kim and Patty Miller of Milledgeville; brother-in-law, U.S. Army Spc. Austin Miller of Denver, Colo.; sister-in-law, Stephanie (Zach) Stanley of Coleta; niece, Laikin Stanley of Coleta; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and students.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bobbie Hoy.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Nash-Nelson Funeral Home, 1001 E. Garfield St., Waterman, with the Rev. Kathy Lawes officiating. Interment will be private. Friends may visit from 1 p.m. Saturday until the hour of service at the funeral home.
