SYCAMORE – Chester F. Reeve, 94, of Sycamore, Ill., passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at Kishwaukee Hospital, DeKalb.|
He graduated from Hinckley High School, Class of 1938. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II in the European Theatre of operations, earning five battle stars.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Mary Lou Reeve; two daughters, Susan Leonard of Delavan, Wis., and Rebecca McCabe of DeKalb; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert of Houston, Texas.
A memorial visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at United Methodist Church, 160 Johnson Ave., Sycamore. A celebration of life service will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harlene Harden officiating.
