SAVANNA – Janice Eileen Patterson, 75, of Savanna, Ill., died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at the home of her daughter in Stillman Valley.|
Born Sept. 16, 1938, in Waterman, the daughter of Carl and May (Madison) Lungstrom, Janice married Richard Patterson on July 10, 1976, in Lee.
Janice worked as a secretary at Northern Illinois University from 1957 to 1973, retiring to work other part-time jobs.
She is survived by her husband, Richard "Pat" Patterson Sr.; children, Richard Patterson Jr., Roger Patterson, Mary Beth Baldwin, Katie (Harry) LaBar, Connie (Mike) McFarland and LeeAnna (Rick) Roberson; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, grandson, granddaughter, sister and two brothers.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb, with the Rev. Dr. Janet Hunt of First Lutheran Church, DeKalb, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery, DeKalb. The visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Anderson Funeral Home.
