SYCAMORE – Julia Susan Jacox, 86, of Sycamore, Ill., went home to her Lord Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Kindred Hospital, Sycamore.|
Born July 19, 1926, near Tamms, the daughter of Lewis Fredrick and Margret Estella (Brown) McDaniel, she married Frank Jacox Jr. on Sept. 16, 1968, in Geneva.
Sue was a member of Victory Baptist Church in DeKalb for more than 40 years. She was employed at DeKalb Ag for 12 years, retiring as manager of the Accounts Payable Department.
Julia Susan is survived by her husband; two stepdaughters, Cindy Bryant and Trisha McDonough; stepson, Woodrow Dedrick; sister, Marjorie Leota (Dariel "Bud") Emery; several step-grandchildren and -great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; four brothers, Lewis, Loren, Gordon and one unnamed brother McDaniel; sister, Jewel McDaniel; and stepdaughter, Wanda Carey.
The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb, with the Rev. N. Eric Mangek of Victory Baptist officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Anderson Funeral Home. Cremation is by Anderson Funeral Home Crematory.
