MALTA – Kurt Douglas Hudson, 28, of Malta, Ill., died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Kishwaukee Hospital, DeKalb.|
Born May 30, 1985, in DeKalb, the son of Scott D. and Brenda D. (Bowman) Hudson, Kurt was a 2003 graduate of DeKalb High School and attended Kishwaukee College and Lakeland College. He was an avid basketball and football fan.
Kurt loved his dog, Bella, and his daughter's tropical fish, Nugget.
He is survived by his daughter, Audrina Evelynn; parents, Brenda and Tom Jergens of Malta; sister, Tina (Tyler) Clausen of Marengo; brother, Kyle Hudson of Rockford; maternal grandparents, Elouise and Milt Westlake of Morris; several aunts, uncles; and special nieces, Hannah and Olivia Clausen.
He was preceded in death by his father, Scott; and paternal grandparents, Robert and Barbara Hudson.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb, with the Rev. Dr. Janet Hunt of First Lutheran Church, DeKalb, officiating. Cremation will follow, with burial of cremated remains on a later date.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb.
