WATERMAN – Ralph Albert Busch, 81, of Waterman, Ill., passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Prairie Crossing Living & Rehab Center, Shabbona.|
Born Sept. 15, 1931, in Hampshire, the son of Max and Eva (Waldeck) Busch, Ralph married Pauline Lee on April 15, 1950. They were married 54 years, and he finally went to meet his beloved wife in heaven, for which he had been waiting since she passed away Dec. 27, 2004.
Ralph was a 1949 graduate of Burlington High School. Ralph and Pauline were farmers for most of their married lives in the Richland Center area of Wisconsin. They both enjoyed the day-to-day farm life.
He is survived by his children, Deborah (Bruce) Johnson of Rochelle, Linda (Terry) Webb of Waterman, Nancy (Mark) Zorica of Hampshire and David (Christina) Busch of Waterman; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Pat Anderson of Genoa; sister-in-law, Lavena Overton of Genoa; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb, with Pastor Jack M. Briggs, Unity Hospice chaplain of Rochelle, officiating. Visitation will be from noon Monday until the service at Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Chapel Hills Memorial Gardens, Freeport.
