SHABBONA – Wendell Glenn Stahl, 85, of Shabbona, Ill., formerly of Sandwich, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb. |
Born Feb. 21, 1928, in Sandwich, the son of Lowery "Bill" and Mabel (Klotz) Stahl, Wendell was a farmer and a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by one sister, Allene (Russell) Wahlgren of Sandwich; one brother, Everett "Butch" (Etta) Stahl of Sandwich; three nephews, Roy (Christine) Wahlgren of Sandwich, James (Kyle) Wahlgren of Tempe, Ariz., and Rick (Becky) Stahl of Plainfield; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Norman Stahl; and his grandparents.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, at Oak Mound Cemetery in Somonauk.
