1922 - 2013 Obituary Condolences
HINCKLEY – Maryon G. Michael, 91, Hinckley, Ill., passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at her home, with her loving family around her.
Born May 4, 1922, in DeKalb, the daughter of George A. and Inez (Vodden) Pahaly, Maryon was united in marriage Feb. 2, 1942, to Jack Michael and they spent the next 17 happy years together until his passing Feb. 23, 1959.
Mrs. Michael was a member of Hinckley First United Methodist Church, Hinckley. She was very active in the American Legion Woman's Auxiliary. Maryon was known as "Ma" to many of the children in her neighborhood. She enjoyed watching all sports and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bulls fan. Maryon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Maryon is survived by her children, Pamela Fernald, of Merrimac, Wis., Jack (Barb) Michael Jr., of Earlville, Eugene Michael, of Baraboo, Wis., Keith (Cheryl) Michael, of Sandwich, Mae (Roger) Winckler, of Hinckley and Daniel (Rometh) Michael, of Aurora; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Jerrell Williams; daughter-in-law, Frances Michael; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Michael; daughter, Bonnie Williams; son, Gregory Michael; and three sisters, Ida Busse, Hazel Carlson and Viola Antrobus.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 N. Maple St., Hinckley. Interment will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Greenwood Cemetery, Hinckley. Friends may visit from 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, until the hour of service at the funeral home.
