SHARONVILLE, Ohio – Goldie Lucille Bray, 76, of Sharonville, Ohio, formerly of DeKalb, Ill., died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at home.|
Born April 4, 1937, in Ashley, Mich., the daughter of Raymond and LaCigale (Mayfield) McCalip, Goldie married Ted Bray on July 2, 1960, in DeKalb.
Goldie attended Salvation Army School for officer training in Chicago. She was a day-care provider in DeKalb for 24 years.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Sheila (Mark) Thomson, of Orlando, Fla., and Sharon (Michael Bence) Bray, of Clearwater Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Michelle, Marie, Michael, Matthew, Marcus, Corey and Alex; great-grandchildren, Riley, Raegan and Landon; and sisters, Lillie Chapman, Kay Carter, LaVaughn Lester and Carolyn Peterson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and several brothers and sisters.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb. Burial will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery, DeKalb. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday.
